He was born in 1971 in Trabzon. He completed his primary education at 24 Şubat Primary School, secondary education at Cumhuriyet Middle School, and high school at Trabzon High School. He passed the university exams and got into Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine. After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine in 1995, he worked as a general practitioner at Artvin State Hospital Emergency Department and Akçaabat State Hospital Emergency Department. He passed the Specialisation Exam and joined Karadeniz Technical University Faculty of Medicine Department of Neurosurgery. He completed his specialization in 2004. He has worked at 13 Şubat SSK Hospital, Erzincan State Hospital, Kocatepe SSK Hospital, Afyon State Hospital, Uşak Ceyline Hospital (Medical Park), Afyon State Hospital, Afyon Private Park Hayat Hospital, and Akşehir Private Park Hayat Hospital. Throughout his specialization and professional career, he has published 17 international papers mainly on brain tumours, herniated discs, arachnoid cysts, brain haemorrhages, and aneurysms.His international publications have been referenced in many domestic and foreign journals. He has presented nearly 6 national articles, 5 international oral presentations, and about 100 national oral presentations. He has served as a reviewer for 7 international studies. He has performed thousands of surgeries, mainly including spinal surgeries, lumbar disc surgeries, cervical disc, lumbar canal stenosis, spinal fractures, cervical canal stenosis, and brain hemorrhages. He demonstrates a medical approach based on ethical values, integrated with love and respect, prioritising development. Mr Gökalp KARAARSLAN, married with 2 children, served as a Brain and Neurosurgery Specialist at Ceyline Hospital until 12 November 2009, and left Afyon State Hospital on 14 July 2011. He has also worked privately as a Brain and Neurosurgery Specialist at Afyon Private ParkHayat Hospital (Red Hospital), Sakarya Medar Hospital, and Istanbul Saygı Hospital.
